"I made this. you played this. we are enemies"

When first encountering the works of Jason Nelson I was fairly confused. I didn't understand how his works could be under the same category as literature and poetry. When viewing the website all I could see was confusion with random text and pictures displayed on my screen. Half of the website looked to me as though a child had attempted to create a website.

However, when examining closer and looking past the already preconceptions of this website I was forced to step outside the box with my thinking and take it for what it is. Jason Nelson has conveyed some pretty cool yet sophisticated ideas in his works, they evoke questions and emotions whether that of frustration or success.

Jason Nelson has created a website that requires your full attention, if you don't then you will end up lost and confused as I did when I first tried to decode the messages that he was purveying. The tasks at hand enable you choose a path and according to that path change the meaning of the text and/or game which then alters each time you play. I like the fact that it's interactive and engages you even when you don't exactly know what's going on, it gives you the sense that you must play on to find out what happens next.
